Lana Del Rey and Zach Bryan Release Duet “Lies” on New EP

Lana Del Rey and Zach Bryan have joined forces for the new duet “Lies,” a standout track from Bryan’s freshly released EP, Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs. The song, produced in Nashville at Dan Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound, arrives as both artists continue to evolve their sound while keeping fans eagerly awaiting their next full-length projects.

The collaboration was first teased by Del Rey on Instagram last month, where she playfully captioned a post, “Whale, we finally got our song done. And that’s no lie.” The track opens with a delicate piano and lush string arrangement, with Bryan taking the first verse before Del Rey’s ethereal vocals glide in, harmonizing together in the chorus. Their chemistry is palpable, offering a blend of Bryan’s raw, Americana-infused storytelling and Del Rey’s dreamy, cinematic pop sensibilities.

A Milestone for Both Artists

For Zach Bryan, “Lies” adds to a prolific year that has already seen the release of his 25-track album With Heaven on Top and the acoustic follow-up earlier this year. His rise has been meteoric—his 2023 duet with Kacey Musgraves, “I Remember Everything,” became his first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, earning two Grammy nominations. Bryan’s ability to collaborate across genres, from Bruce Springsteen to now Lana Del Rey, underscores his versatility and growing influence in modern music.

Del Rey, meanwhile, has kept fans on their toes with a series of delays for her eighth studio album, Stove. Originally announced in 2024 and later postponed from May 2025, the album is now expected to arrive alongside a companion record, as she hinted in a recent message to fans. “It’s two of my most beautiful pieces of work,” she wrote, describing the project as a mix of growth, doubt, and new beginnings. Until then, “Lies” offers a tantalizing glimpse of her artistry in a new context.

What’s Next for Zach Bryan?

Bryan’s 2027 tour promises to be one of the year’s most anticipated live runs, with dates spanning North America and Australia. The tour kicks off in April in Minneapolis, featuring an eclectic lineup of opening acts: - Vance Joy - Emma Ogier - Gabriella Rose - John Fogerty (special guest)

The Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs EP also includes a collaboration with Turnpike Troubadours on “Plainsman” and backing vocals from Katy Kirby, further showcasing Bryan’s knack for assembling a diverse musical community.

Why This Collaboration Matters

For fans of both artists, “Lies” is more than just a duet—it’s a meeting of two distinct yet complementary worlds. Bryan’s roots in country and folk pair seamlessly with Del Rey’s melancholic pop, creating a track that feels both intimate and expansive. As Del Rey continues to refine her next album and Bryan gears up for a stadium tour, this collaboration serves as a reminder of the magic that happens when artists step outside their usual boundaries.

Listeners can stream “Lies” now on all major platforms, alongside the rest of Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs. Whether you’re here for the storytelling, the harmonies, or the sheer star power, this duet delivers on all fronts.
